Just finished watching
Point Pleasant. The series was pretty short -- 23 episodes on 3 discs. I can't remember where I saw it, but it was recommended based on another show I liked on
Netflix. The series was pretty good. They pretty much ran thru everything you can for the scope of the story they were trying to fill --
Elisabeth Harnois played a young girl, Christina, who comes to realize that she's the daughter of the devil and the whole series is about her battle between being good and evil. She's searching for her mother, who was very religious, and was supposed to be in the Point Pleasant, NJ area.
Brent Weber plays the man who falls in love with Christina and tries to help her in her struggle. There are several twists and turns throughtout the series as
Grant Show attempts to push Christina over the edge to bring on the apocolypse. If the show would've continued, it would've been interesting to see where they went with it. I will say that I was surprised at the ending. There's a lot to spoil here, so I'll leave it at that; hopefully, I haven't given away too much.
Well, I checked out
Pirates 2 a few days ago, and I do have to say that it was pretty good -- nothing extraordinary, but worth the watch. I'm not one to remember movies that well, so I probably should've watched
Pirates 1 before checking this one out, but it was still good. There are already plans for
Pirates 3 (At Worlds End), which is fairly obvious when you get to the end of the movie. As long as the movie is, it's kind of annoying that they stop somewhat in the middle of the story. A decent stopping point, but I hate being left like that. Oh well... The next one is scheduled for 2007, so we'll just have to wait.
Just saw
Click today. The movie was pretty good. I know a lot of people are sick of
Adam Sandler's typical movies; but it wasn't anything like those. I will say that it was somewhat predictable, but that's besides the point. For those of you who aren't big Sandler fans, I still think you should give this one a shot. Like I said, it's not a typical Sandler movie.
